Buenos Aires, March 29 (NA) – PRO continues its strategy of rearmament and reconstruction to strengthen itself for the upcoming presidential elections in 2027, and this week, several of its members will meet to debate the most important guidelines in this scenario, despite the good relationship it maintains with the National Government.
Next Wednesday, the 1st, around 11 in the morning, the national deputy and secretary of PRO, Fernando De Andreis, and the mayor of Vicente López, Soledad Martínez, will participate in this meeting. They are two of the closest confidants of Mauricio Macri. Also present will be Jimena de la Torre, a member of the Council of the Judiciary, and Guillermo Dietrich, former Minister of Transport during the Macri administration.
Sources from PRO assured that these meetings aim to dialogue about new ideas, in view of the upcoming elections, and that later, the former president of the Nation, will be the one to decide (or not) to put them into practice. These meetings stem from the last event that the party held at Parque Norte, within the framework of the National Council, with all its most important figures. After that call, Macri intensified the meetings of his political table to reorder the space, after a period of significant internal crisis.
The central slogan of the former statesman is to seek to differentiate PRO from La Libertad Avanza (LLA), without breaking the cordiality in the relationship they still manage to maintain with the Javier Milei administration, while sustaining the legislative alliances achieved in 2025.
The roadmap towards 2027 is, in the first instance, aimed at advancing in the formation of its own candidates for the presidency and making it clear that they reject the idea of a total absorption by LLA. Similarly, conversations would also have taken place with a certain sector of non-Kirchnerist Peronism to join this reconstruction of PRO, as it has also transpired that Governor Juan Schiaretti might be interested in negotiating a joint formula.
